For remote, shift and night workers

A body kept on the wrong clock will let you know eventually.

Working across time zones, or through the night, or from a room you also sleep in, removes the signals the body uses to organise itself. It adapts for a while. Then it stops adapting.

Light, food and movement are what tell the body when it is. Take a call at eleven at night, eat when the work allows, and never leave the building, and those signals stop agreeing with each other.

What follows is predictable and rarely connected back to the cause: sleep that comes late and breaks early, digestion that has become unreliable, an appetite that arrives at midnight, and a flatness through the day that coffee stopped fixing some months ago.

This is not treated by being told to sleep more. It is treated by rebuilding the signals — deliberate rest that the nervous system recognises as rest, movement placed where it does the most good, and eating that stops fighting the schedule you actually work.

When this is the wrong door

Loud snoring with daytime sleepiness needs a sleep study before anything else — that is a breathing problem, not a routine one. Persistent low mood beyond a few weeks deserves a doctor rather than a therapy room.

Asked often

Can you help with poor sleep and stress?

Yes — sleep and stress are among the most common reasons people come to us. Support combines structured behavioural work, breathwork, guided relaxation and changes to routine. Loud snoring with pauses in breathing and daytime sleepiness may indicate sleep apnoea, which needs a sleep study rather than lifestyle work.
