For older adults
Stiffness is not something to be resigned to at sixty.
A body that has been still for a long time gets sore from stillness, not from effort. That is a different problem from ageing, and it responds to different things.
A great deal of what gets filed under getting older is actually the cost of not moving much. Joints that are not taken through their range stop offering it. Circulation to the feet and hands slows. Mornings get stiffer, then the stiffness lasts until lunch, then it becomes the reason not to go out.
The usual advice — walk more, do some yoga — is correct and almost never enough on its own, because it starts above where somebody actually is and gets abandoned in a fortnight.
This starts below what you can already do. Supervised movement, hands-on work for soreness that comes from being still rather than from being hurt, and warmth for joints that have stopped enjoying the morning. Nobody is asked to keep up with anything, and nobody is put in a group class to struggle quietly at the back.

The assessment still decides. This is where most people in your position start, not a prescription written before anyone has met you.

Asked often
Is Nirmalkaya suitable for elderly parents?
Yes, and it is a common reason families come to us. Assessment accounts for existing conditions, medication and mobility, and treatment intensity is matched to what someone can actually tolerate. Joint stiffness, balance, sleep and digestion are frequent concerns. Everything is on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to manage.

No, and we will never advise you to stop or change prescribed medication. Our services support your health alongside medical treatment, not instead of it. If anyone at a wellness centre tells you to stop a prescription, that is a reason to leave. Any change to medication is a conversation with the doctor who prescribed it.
