Yoga for Personal Practice

Fourteen days to build a practice you can actually hold on your own.

Who this is for

Anyone who has tried yoga from a video and stopped, or who wants corrections made by a person standing next to them. Not a teacher training — this is for your own practice.

What you will actually be able to do

  • A sequence matched to your own body rather than to a class average
  • Corrections made in person, which videos cannot do
  • Understand which postures to avoid given your own restrictions
  • A 20-minute daily practice you can sustain

Modules

01

Assessment

Your own range, restrictions and asymmetries.

02

Foundation postures

Twelve postures, taught to correctness rather than depth.

03

Sequencing

How a practice is built and why order matters.

04

Breath and movement

Coordinating the two without forcing either.

05

Your sequence

Built for you, corrected, written down.

Day-by-day curriculum

Published in full, because you should know what you are buying before you pay for it.

  1. Day 1

    Individual assessment

Range of movement, postural observation, and any restriction that changes what you should be doing. Recorded as your baseline.

  2. Days 2–4

    Standing postures

Tadasana, trikonasana, virabhadrasana I and II, vrikshasana. Alignment corrected individually. Modifications for tight hips, weak ankles and stiff shoulders.

  3. Days 5–7

    Seated and forward folds

Dandasana, paschimottanasana, janu sirsasana, baddha konasana. Where the movement should come from, and why most people fold from the wrong place.

  4. Days 8–9

    Gentle backbends and twists

Bhujangasana, setu bandhasana, seated twists. Contraindications covered explicitly — this is where people injure themselves.

  5. Days 10–11

    Breath with movement

Coordinating breath and transition. Surya namaskar taught slowly, corrected, then at pace.

  6. Days 12–13

    Building your sequence

Each participant assembles a 20-minute practice from what suits their assessment. Reviewed and corrected individually.

  7. Day 14

    Assessment and handover

Demonstrate your sequence. Re-measure range against Day 1. Leave with it written down and photographed.
