Advanced Therapist Development
For therapists who learnt on the job and want the reasoning underneath it.
Who this is for
Working therapists with real experience and gaps they can feel. Most therapists in India are trained by imitation — this programme supplies the reasoning, the assessment skill and the judgement that imitation cannot.
What you will actually be able to do
- Clinical reasoning, not just technique
- Plan treatment rather than execute someone else's plan
- Advanced soft tissue and manual technique
- Supervision and mentoring skills, which is what promotion actually requires
Modules
Clinical reasoning
Why this treatment, for this person, now.
Advanced assessment
Regional examination and interpretation.
Advanced soft tissue
Technique beyond a standard sequence.
Condition-specific protocols
Applied to eight common presentations.
Treatment planning
Sequencing a course of care.
Supervision
Teaching and correcting junior therapists.
Supervised caseload
Carrying real patients across the programme.
Day-by-day curriculum
Published in full, because you should know what you are buying before you pay for it.
Days 1–8
Clinical reasoning
Moving from 'what do I do' to 'why this, for this person, now'. Hypothesis, test, revise. Worked through real anonymised case histories from the centre.
Days 9–18
Advanced regional assessment
Spine, shoulder, hip, knee. Special tests, what each does and does not tell you, and the limits of assessment outside medicine.
Days 19–28
Advanced soft tissue technique
Myofascial approaches, trigger point work, positional release, deep transverse friction. Each taught with its indication and its evidence base stated honestly.
Days 29–38
Condition-specific protocols
Eight presentations we see weekly: lower back pain, neck and shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, knee pain, sciatica, headache, stress presentations, general deconditioning. Protocol, adaptation and referral threshold for each.
Days 39–44
Treatment planning
Designing a course of care: what, in what order, over how long, measured against what. Reviewing and revising a plan that is not working, which is the harder skill.
Days 45–52
Supervised caseload
Carrying your own patients under supervision — assessment, plan, delivery, review, documentation. This is the closest thing to independent practice within the programme.
Days 53–57
Supervision and mentoring
Observing, correcting and teaching a junior therapist without undermining them. Giving feedback that changes behaviour. What separates a senior therapist from an experienced one.
Days 58–59
Case presentation preparation
Preparing your caseload for presentation: reasoning, evidence, outcome, and honest account of what did not work.
Day 60
Assessment
Case presentation and defence before faculty, practical examination with a real patient, and written examination in clinical reasoning.

- Strongest candidates are considered for senior positions at Nirmal Kaya when vacancies exist
On employment
Completing any Nirmal Kaya Academy programme does not guarantee employment, an internship, or any offer of work. Internships are offered by invitation to high-performing candidates when supervision capacity exists. Employment depends on performance, assessment and an open vacancy. Most people who complete our programmes will not be employed by us — many go on to work elsewhere, and some use the training for themselves alone. Anyone who tells you a course guarantees a job is selling you something.
