Day-by-day curriculum

Published in full, because you should know what you are buying before you pay for it.

  1. Days 1–12

    Foundation sciences

Anatomy, physiology and relevant pathology — taught applied throughout, palpated and observed rather than memorised. Examined before progressing.

  2. Days 13–22

    Assessment and clinical reasoning

Full assessment battery, history taking, measurement, interpretation. Building a hypothesis and testing it. Twenty supervised assessments each.

  3. Days 23–24

    Screening, red flags and referral

The complete picture across every therapy in the programme. Examined separately and must be passed before any hands-on patient work.

  4. Days 25–40

    Manual therapies

Full therapeutic massage, then advanced soft tissue: myofascial, trigger point, positional release, friction. Assessed at both levels.

  5. Days 41–52

    Hydro, heat and mud

Every external application the centre delivers. Equipment, screening, monitoring, emergency response, hygiene and turnover. Assessed practically.

  6. Days 53–62

    Movement and breath

Therapeutic movement prescription, corrective exercise, pranayama, guided relaxation and yoga nidra. Delivered to real patients under supervision.

  7. Days 63–70

    Nutrition within scope

Dietary assessment, planning around Indian households, and the firm boundary between nutritional support and medical nutrition therapy.

  8. Days 71–76

    Stress, sleep and behaviour change

Structured support, habit formation, and the referral threshold for psychological care.

  9. Days 77–80

    Practice management and ethics

Records, consent, confidentiality, scope, complaint handling, and the operational reality of running treatment rooms.

  10. Days 81–87

    Supervised caseload

The final phase of one hundred and twenty supervised patient hours: your own caseload, assessed, planned, delivered, reviewed and documented by you under supervision.

  11. Days 88–89

    Case presentation

Present three patients you carried: reasoning, plan, delivery, outcome, and what you would do differently. Defended before faculty.

  12. Day 90

    Final examination

Full practical examination with a real patient assessed independently by two faculty including the founder, plus comprehensive written examination.

Certificate of Completion

What this certificate lets you do

Published because a course that does not teach its own limits is teaching you to be dangerous.

You may

  • Deliver every therapy taught, within an establishment
  • Conduct full assessments and propose plans for practitioner approval
  • Carry a caseload under practitioner oversight
  • Supervise junior therapists

You may not

  • Diagnose any condition
  • Practise independently on the public without appropriate registration and insurance
  • Treat a person under active medical management without coordination
  • Use any registered professional title such as doctor or physiotherapist

Learning outcomes

  • Assess a person fully and reason towards a plan
  • Deliver every therapy the centre offers, to assessed standard
  • Carry a caseload end to end under supervision
  • Document to clinical establishment standard
  • State precisely where your competence ends, and refer accordingly

Career opportunities

  • Senior wellness therapist or practitioner in a naturopathy centre, resort or clinical wellness setting
  • Lead therapist roles
  • Wellness programme design and delivery
  • The strongest candidates for internship and, where a vacancy exists, employment at Nirmal Kaya

On employment

Completing any Nirmal Kaya Academy programme does not guarantee employment, an internship, or any offer of work. Internships are offered by invitation to high-performing candidates when supervision capacity exists. Employment depends on performance, assessment and an open vacancy. Most people who complete our programmes will not be employed by us — many go on to work elsewhere, and some use the training for themselves alone. Anyone who tells you a course guarantees a job is selling you something.
