Day-by-day curriculum
Published in full, because you should know what you are buying before you pay for it.
Days 1–2
The material itself
Sourcing, sieving, testing for grit and contamination, hydration ratios, storage and shelf life. You prepare your own working batch, which you then use all fortnight.
Day 3
Screening and contraindications
Skin infection, open wounds, uncontrolled cardiac conditions, pregnancy, cold intolerance, diabetic neuropathy. Screening conducted before every application, without exception.
Days 4–6
Local applications
Abdominal pack, eye pack, knee and joint application. Thickness, temperature, duration, and how to tell when to remove. Practised on partners under supervision.
Days 7–9
Full-body application
Room preparation, draping and modesty, application sequence, timing by body region, monitoring the person throughout. Removal without flooding the room.
Days 10–11
Hygiene and turnover
Single-use discipline, linen handling, disposal, room turnaround inside fifteen minutes. This is the part that separates a professional setting from a domestic one.
Days 12–13
Supervised delivery
Two full sessions each, start to finish, on a live model, with faculty observing and not intervening unless safety requires it.
Day 14
Assessment
One full application assessed end to end, including screening, preparation, delivery, removal and turnover. Written paper on contraindications.

- Written protocol for one local and one full-body application, in your own words
- A hygiene and turnover checklist you would use in your own practice
How the certificate is earned
Full supervised application assessed against a published rubric, plus a written paper on screening and contraindications
Pass requirement
65% practical and 60% written, with at least 85% attendance

What this certificate lets you do
Published because a course that does not teach its own limits is teaching you to be dangerous.
You may
- Deliver mud applications within an establishment under a supervising practitioner
- Prepare material and maintain hygiene independently
You may not
- Practise independently on the public
- Deliver to anyone with diabetes, cardiac disease or during pregnancy without practitioner clearance
- Claim any therapeutic effect on a diagnosed condition
