Clinic Operations & Front Office

Run the part of a wellness centre that everything else depends on.

Who this is for

Students wanting a genuinely employable administrative skill, and anyone who would rather run a centre than treat in one. Healthcare administration hires steadily and trains rarely.

Day-by-day curriculum

Published in full, because you should know what you are buying before you pay for it.

  1. Days 1–2

    The patient journey

Mapping every touchpoint from first enquiry to discharge. Where centres lose people, and why it is almost always administrative rather than clinical.

  2. Days 3–6

    Scheduling

Room types, practitioner availability, treatment duration and cleanup. Building a day's diary by hand, then on the system. Handling double-booking, no-shows and walk-ins.

  3. Days 7–9

    Records

Registration, clinical records, consent forms. Retention periods, correction by dated addendum rather than overwriting, and the confidentiality obligations that bind everyone in the building.

  4. Days 10–13

    Money

Quotation, invoicing, GST, part payment, refunds, daily reconciliation. Common errors and the controls that catch them. Practised against live-format data.

  5. Days 14–16

    Inventory and hygiene

Consumables forecasting, linen cycles, room turnover timing, stock control. Costing a treatment properly, including the consumables people forget.

  6. Days 17–18

    Compliance

What a clinical establishment is obliged to hold, display and retain. Complaint handling and escalation. Incident recording.

  7. Days 19–20

    Supervised front desk

Working the live front desk under supervision — real enquiries, real bookings, real people.

  8. Day 21

    Assessment

A practical scenario examination: build a day's schedule, resolve three conflicts, process billing, and handle one complaint. Plus a written paper.
